Dr Yasin Çağlar Kaya completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of International Relations at Karadeniz Technical University. He obtained his master’s degree in international law from the University of Sussex and his PhD from the Department of International Relations at Karadeniz Technical University. His academic research focuses on the fields of international security and the law of the sea. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of International Relations at Karadeniz Technical University. He also holds the positions of Head of the Public International Law Division and Deputy Head of Department. His research focuses on the security dimensions of international law, maritime zones, maritime delimitation, maritime disputes, and the rights and obligations of states at sea. Furthermore, within this framework, he conducts theoretical and applied research and teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
