Dr Tacettin Çalık, Assistant Professor, completed his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Law, Ankara University; he obtained his master’s and doctoral degrees in the Department of Public Law at the Institute of Social Sciences, Selçuk University. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of International Law at the Faculty of Law, Pamukkale University. Çalık’s main areas of research are public international maritime law, public international law and human rights law; he has published academic papers and books on topics such as the obligations of the flag state, piracy and ship registration. He is also a specialist mediator and an accredited Med-Arb arbitrator at the TOBB Compliance and Dispute Resolution Centre.
