Selen Baldıran is a Ph.D. candidate in Maritime Studies at Istanbul Technical University. She received her bachelor’s degree in International Relations (English) from Okan University on a full scholarship, graduating as the valedictorian of the university, and earned her master’s degree in International Relations (English) from Kadir Has University on a full scholarship. She currently serves in the Project Management Unit at Piri Reis University. Her research focuses primarily on maritime security, Arctic maritime security, maritime governance, international security, and climate change. She has published nationally and internationally on the Arctic region, European Union policies, NATO, and maritime security.
