Security Academy – I

International Relations Council Association (IRCT), which was established on 20-24 December 2008, organized a Certificate Program titled “Security Academy: Understanding Security in the 21st Century” with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and with the contributions of NATO Public Diplomacy Unit and Ankara University with 40 participants and 15 educators.

The program, held at the Ilgaz Mountain ÖRSEM Facilities, provided the actors involved in the production and implementation of security policy in Turkey and those working at the academic level to discuss the changing face of the concept of security in the 21st century and its effects on Turkey. The program aimed to create a discussion platform among those working in the field of security in theory and practice and to exchange knowledge and experience. Academicians, researchers, graduate and doctorate students and representatives of civil society, media and security bureaucracy participated in the program.
