Senem ATVUR graduated from Galatasaray University’s Department of International Relations in 2004. She completed her master’s degree in 2008 and her doctorate in 2012 at Akdeniz University’s Department of Public Administration. Her doctoral thesis focused on the impact of global water policies at the local level and the social movements that developed in response to these impacts. Between 2010 and 2011, she conducted her doctoral thesis research at the Université de Poitiers in France. Between 2014 and 2015, she conducted postdoctoral research at the Coventry University Centre for Trust, Peace and Social Relations in the UK with a TÜBİTAK scholarship. He has been working as a faculty member at the Department of International Relations at Akdeniz University since 2014. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2020. Since 2023, he has been serving as the book review editor for the International Relations Journal. He has publications on environmental policies, climate change and water issues, ecological security, and international and regional policies.
