Vuslat Nur Şahin Temel, Assistant Professor at the Social Sciences University of Ankara, Institute for Area Studies, Asian Studies Department. She earned her Ph.D. from Waseda University (Tokyo, Japan) in 2023, with a dissertation titled “Japan’s Contributions to Non-Traditional Security in Asia: An Analysis within the Framework of Expanded Asian Supercomplex Theory”. Her academic pursuits are deeply rooted in critical theories, regionalism, and security issues, with a particular focus on Asia. She has contributed to the field through publications in Global Studies Quarterly, International Studies Perspectives, Alternatives; Global, Local, Political, and International Relations/Uluslararası İlişkiler. She has also benefited from the rich experiences provided by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship.
