Prof. Dr. Sevda Alankuş is a faculty member at Yaşar University’s Department of New Media and Communication. Her research and publications in the field of political communication focus on journalism and ethics, gender and rights-based journalism, and peace journalism. Her publications include a study comparing the experiences of female journalists in Turkey and Greece, the role of the news media in relations between the two countries, and their approaches to peace journalism. She has been a member of the expert jury for the International Fetisov Journalism Awards since 2020 and received the Turkish Journalists’ Association Peace Journalism Award in 2024.
