Çağla Vural is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Akdeniz University under the TÜBİTAK 2218 program. Her research focuses on environmental security, climate policies, theories of international relations, and the political impacts of ecological risks. She specifically examines the consequences of environmental threats on security perceptions, regional stability, and international cooperation. She has published articles and book chapters in national and international journals and has presented at various academic conferences. She is currently researching the effects of marine invasive species in the Eastern Mediterranean on Turkey’s economic, ecological, and human security.
